To whet your appetite this is a glimpse of the new main window in PictureSync version 2. It's effectively identical on both Mac and Windows (save for the drop shadow and window controls). I won't go into the functionality and workflow in this post, but you should be able to guess the basics! (See the original post for some more details.)
You may be wondering what the progress is, indeed the word vapourware may have sprung to mind. Don't Panic! I admit it's been on the drawing board for rather longer than can be simply explained, indeed trying to pull together a team here in India has presented me with some unfamiliar hurdles. Despite that and the distractions of our other work at uVerse, the Windows version now has its UI, and integration of the underlying architecture has started using our .NET MediaSock Client Framework as a basis. I expect to be playing with an alpha around the middle of next month and a beta will follow shortly thereafter.
On the Mac front the new UI is nearing completion, so soon I'll be able to start hooking it up to the modified architecture. It's likely to be released a bit later than the Windows version though.
On a personal front, I'm about to leave Bangalore (after a quick break in Goa!) for London, but am then likely to hit the US for the summer, which will no doubt be a contrast to my close on to a year here! BTW those of you with Twitter fever can see my occasional blurts, you can also find shots of my to-ing and fro-ing on Flickr.

It is also hard to keep up-to-date with them all and know if any of the plugins break--so we rely on users to report such issues.
