PictureSync for Mac in its current form is now officially end-of-life. What this means:

all functionality is free
no further support is available

This update fixes some errant bugs when used with iPhoto that could result in an error after launch, handling of .wb1 files, plus some other minor issues. Now that Zooomr's made it out with a fully fledged API in their latest release, I've restored the Zooomr plugin to the services list in PictureSync for Mac [Download]. Regrettably this has been sitting partially on the backburner for the past few months, but I'm pleased to make a public alpha of PictureSync for Windows available.
I must stress the alpha. This release can be used to annotate and upload JPEGs... Just a quick note to those of you using or considering upgrading to Aperture 2. PictureSync support for grabbing your selection is broken, I will investigate and fix but this may be a good few weeks away I'm afraid.

Joining the likes of Yahoo! Photos and ClubPhoto, Sony ImageStation is itself closing on 1st February 2008, whilst uploads will be stopped on November the 12th.

If you're a Yahoo! Photos user you're no doubt no resigned to the fact that they're closing down on the 20th September (if you have a country-specific account the details vary).
Yahoo! have very kindly provided a number of options for moving your photos to other providers, including their own sparkly Flickr service... → Read more

iPhoto 7 is now shipping with iLife '08 and I'm happy to say that it remains compatible with PictureSync.
I'd hazard that the changes in this version are probably not worth upgrading to from iPhoto 6 (iLife '06) unless you've been wanting better image adjustments, find searching frustrating, or do lots of printing ... → Read more

Install
You may now double-click PictureSync on the disk image and it'll copy itself to your Applications folder, replace any prior version there, then eject the disk image and delete it (if on your desktop)... → Read more
