- General
- Incompatible with older version of SIMBL. If you get lots of random AppleScript errors remove SIMBL from your Library/Input Managers folder or upgrade.
- Cannot be used when your default OS language is set to Chinese, and probably other multi-byte languages. You should set your language to English, or another single-byte language.
- Some charactersets such as Thai in annotations may be uploaded incorrectly.
- When upgrading from older releases, particularly v1.5 or earlier, you may get AppleScript errors on launch. To resolve this delete the ~Home/Library/Preferences/com.holocore.PictureSync.plist file.
- With iPhoto
- Album names cannot contain the : (colon) character.
- Ratings and location are not imported. (Hopefully a future version of iPhoto will allow this.)
- With OS X 10.3
- Drag-reorder of items is not supported.
- RAW images are supported only from iView MediaPro.
- Uploads will not be remembered permanently (after removal from the list).
- With OS X 10.4
- When reordering the pictures list using drag and drop, if you drag an item to its own position (i.e. the insertion point directly above the origin row) the item will be removed and various errors will occur. This is an Apple issue and a fix will hopefully be forthcoming in a future update to OS X.
- With iView MediaPro
- You can not upload from a filtered catalog (when the window title contains [Categories: ] or somesuch) - to avoid errors first select the items to import then choose 'Show All' from the 'Find' menu (see the iView MediaPro instructions).
