If your imported images contain metadata it will be extracted and uploaded (according to your service settings). Metadata should be stored as embedded IPTC or XMP fields, or XMP sidecar files, if the these cannot be found it will be uploaded without any metadata, or the annotations you manually input. When you edit annotations PictureSync automatically saves them, either as embedded IPTC/XMP or XMP sidecars. You can changed the settings for importing and saving annotations in PictureSync's preferences.

1. To specify the pictures you want to upload select the files in the Finder and either drag them to PictureSync's icon, or control-click and use the Open With menu. You can also do this from other applications such as Adobe Bridge and Extensis Portfolio.

2. Once specified PictureSync's window will indicate your selected pictures and update to show your selected services. Simply click upload to send your images to the indicated services.

4. To upload more pictures simply repeat, previously uploaded pictures will be skipped.
