You set your default privacy in the settings dialog for your account (Window>Accounts, select your account and click Settings). You can also control privacy on a picture-by-picture basis using the following special keywords:

• !Private
  Visible to Friends and Family (not Public)
• !Public
  Visible to everyone
• !Friends
  Visible to Friends (not Family or Public)
• !Family
  Visible to Family (not Friends or Public)
• !Draft
  Visible to only you
• !Offensive
  Will also prevent the item from being shown in the public explore pages

Synchronisation

PictureSync can update annotations for previously uploaded images that you've subsequently edited on your computer (e.g. in iPhoto).

To update images on VOX simply open/import them back into PictureSync (they'll be shown as ‘Online’), then when you click upload PictureSync will not re-upload the full image again but will instead update (replace) the title, description, tags and rating.
